Wreck Diver
Safely explore shipwrecks
SwedTech Diving's Wreck Diver program trains divers to safely explore shipwrecks. The course emphasizes that going inside a wreck is easy, but getting out safely is the tricky part, teaching essential skills for managing reduced visibility and gas-sharing scenarios.
Duration
Min 10 hours practical water training, 10 hours theory and briefings
Prerequisites
Minimum age 18, excellent health, Extended Basic Skills certification (or equivalent), proof of 100+ dives (20+ around 30m depth), 50+ dives using course equipment, demonstrated advanced buoyancy and maneuvering skills
Learning Objectives
- Configure technical diving equipment per SwedTech standards
- Plan non-decompression penetration dives with air/nitrox
- Manage overhead environments and artificial decompression ceilings
- Solve multiple equipment failures and gas loss problems
- Navigate in zero-visibility conditions
- Execute advanced swimming techniques and maintain buoyancy control
- Operate effectively within balanced dive teams
- Navigate wreck orientations
Course Limits & Requirements
- Maximum PO2: 1.4 bar (bottom), 1.6 bar (decompression)
- Maximum END: 30 meters
- Maximum 3 students per instructor
- Course must be taught on actual ocean/sea wrecks
