Technical Diver
Advanced technical diving to 60m
This advanced certification gives the students an opportunity to reach targets outside of the scope of traditional recreational diving. Students learn to use trimix, nitrox, and oxygen for decompression while managing complex technical equipment.
Duration
Min 12 hours in-water training, at least 10 hours theory and briefings
Prerequisites
Minimum age 18, excellent health status, completed Extended Basic Skills course, 100+ total dives (minimum 20 near 30m depth), 50+ dives with technical equipment, demonstrated advanced buoyancy control with 20-minute stop tolerance (±1 meter)
Learning Objectives
- Configure technical diving equipment per SwedTech standards
- Plan dives using trimix, nitrox, or oxygen decompression gases
- Execute overhead environment dives with artificial decompression ceilings
- Manage multiple stage cylinders and backup equipment scenarios
- Demonstrate advanced buoyancy control during bottom and ascent phases
- Maintain team coordination during complex dives

- Maximum bottom gas PO2: 1.4 bar
- Maximum decompression PO2: 1.6 bar
- Maximum END: 30 meters
- Maximum depth: 60 meters
- Maximum 3 students per instructor
