Scuba Diver Basic Skills
Recreational diving certification to 30m
This recreational diving course teaches students to plan and execute dives in open water to a maximum depth of 30m using air or Nitrox. Students master essential competencies including equipment assembly and configuration, water safety drills and emergency procedures, advanced finning techniques (frogkick, flutterkick, helicopter turns), buoyancy control within ±1 meter precision, gas management calculations and reserve procedures, rescue techniques for unconscious divers, navigation using compass bearings, and team diving protocols.
Duration
Min 10 hours pool/confined water, 10 hours theory, 4 hours open water (2 dives to 20-30m)
Prerequisites
Minimum age 18 (15 with guardian consent), completed health declaration, ability to swim 200m without interruption

Course Limits & Requirements
- Maximum depth: 30 meters
- Maximum PO2: 1.4 bar
- No overhead environment diving
- Maximum 3 students per instructor
