Mine Diver

Safely dive underwater mine environments

This technical diving course enables students to safely dive the underwater environments of mines in cold water conditions around 3°C, building on existing cave diving skills over a 12-day program.

Duration

Min 12 days with at least 15 hours water, min 20 dives in overhead conditions, concludes with 2 evaluation dives

Prerequisites

Minimum age 20, excellent health, completion of Extended Basic Skills course (or equivalent), proof of minimum 75 dives at Extended Basic Skills level

Learning Objectives

Configure technical diving equipment per SwedTech standards
Plan and perform dives with no decompression limits
Navigate without visual references in complex environments
Handle gas management and emergency problem-solving
Execute advanced navigation patterns including linear routes and three-way crossings
Tow paralyzed divers

Maximum PO2: 1.4 bar
Maximum depth: 30 meters
Maximum END: 30 meters
Maximum 3 students per instructor
Minimum 2600 liters starting gas
