Mine Diver

Safely dive underwater mine environments

This technical diving course enables students to safely dive the underwater environments of mines in cold water conditions around 3°C, building on existing cave diving skills over a 12-day program.

Duration

Min 12 days with at least 15 hours water, min 20 dives in overhead conditions, concludes with 2 evaluation dives

Prerequisites

Minimum age 20, excellent health, completion of Extended Basic Skills course (or equivalent), proof of minimum 75 dives at Extended Basic Skills level

Learning Objectives

  • Configure technical diving equipment per SwedTech standards
  • Plan and perform dives with no decompression limits
  • Navigate without visual references in complex environments
  • Handle gas management and emergency problem-solving
  • Execute advanced navigation patterns including linear routes and three-way crossings
  • Tow paralyzed divers

Course Limits & Requirements

  • Maximum PO2: 1.4 bar
  • Maximum depth: 30 meters
  • Maximum END: 30 meters
  • Maximum 3 students per instructor
  • Minimum 2600 liters starting gas
